Genovation Cars Inc, a Maryland-based corporation, designs develops and builds advanced green vehicles.  Genovation’s goal is to develop vehicles that can be built at low volumes and still be profitable.  This is achieved through low tooling costs, minimum use of robotics and a skilled labor force.  Production capacity can be grown rapidly and efficiently as market demand grows and can be transitioned seamlessly to a traditional high volume factory if necessary.

The Opportunity

The U.S. is about to undertake a paradigm shift.  Its dependence on oil, its final acceptance that global warming is a fact and the collapse of its automobile industry is creating public demand for new initiatives that will change the way we travel.  The U.S. truly is a nation built on gas and diesel powered automobiles and trucks.  Over the long term this has created an untenable position for the U.S.  Shrinking supplies of easy to reach oil and increasing demand has led to dramatic increases in the cost of oil; contributing significantly to the enormous U.S. trade deficits, which in turn has led to the decline in the value of the dollar.  It is clear that the status quo can’t support the nation any longer.  Things have to change.

Genovation is proud to be part of that change.  And we intend to be the greenest, cleanest, easiest and safest way the public can get involved in change.

The opportunity is now.

Why Invest In Our Company?

Genovation has the technology to move beyond today's hybrids to produce environmentally (and economically) efficient vehicles that still stimulate the senses and excite the driver.  Our vehicles not only integrate the latest in EV technology and design, but they are also made using environmentally sustainable materials at every turn—From the frame to the body to the interior.

Our approach to having the best vehicle design is to outsource design to the best in the industry and make them partners in our endeavor.  Our competitors have tried to hire their own in house teams, an approach that has tremendous drawbacks.  Many auto industry engineers moved to jobs in California where they found living expenses too high and are being lured back to Detroit by Ford and GM’s big recruiting push.  Similarly, setting up new design facilities and processes can lead to new companies losing control of design releases that creates confusion amongst the many disciplines that contribute to a finished vehicle.  The press is constantly reporting delays amongst these new vendors.

The biggest drawback in hiring such a large team is that each key expertise is required only for a part of the total design interval.  For example, door design is a very specific talent.  When the door is finished what does one do with that talent.  In a large OEM there is always another vehicle needing a door design.  In a start-up it might be 2 years before the next project begins.  Job security isn’t.

Tata Technologies is our main partner for the total design.  Metalsa is our frame partner, Dana Thermals is our thermal management partner K2 is our battery partner and Astek is our Vehicle Management partner.  Other partnerships in the works are with an electric motor vendor and with a transmission vendor.

Each of our partners understands our objectives for the G2 design and want a long-term relationship.  The traditional industry model is a succession of competitive bidding where yesterdays relationship counts for little if you aren’t today’s low bidder.  Our principals put safety, reliability, green content, etc. above cost cutting.
